10,000 steps

Yesterday on my morning walk I did 10,000 steps all at once. I ended the day at 12,338 steps. Was all that necessary? I’m not so sure looking back. I didn’t die from the experience but I don’t really think I feel better having done it.

I still have my goal on my step counter set to 7000 because I feel that is not an unreasonable goal for me to easily attain. Normally I have been hitting a bit over 8000 steps. My morning walk is a bit under 6000 steps usually and the rest are easy to get by just living. I believe an everyday goal should be a sustainable thing. If you don’t set reasonable, sustainable goals you just build guilt and decrease the probability you will keep up the good work.

No I just need to get back to walking in the woods!
